45 acres of paradise... That’s Frenchman’s Cove. The crown jewel of this paradise is the Frenchman’s Beach. It is a beautiful, white sand inlet of the sea protected by rugged cliffs covered with trees and vines, fed also by a freshwater river. Kids and the ‘kid at heart’ enjoy swinging on the Tarzan-like rope to splash down into the river delta. Many enjoy wading or swimming up-river, and then letting the gentle current bring you back to the beach. Ahhh, bliss! The combination of these, and the lush backdrop creates a perfect beach haven you may never want to leave. The awe-inspiring combination of the vast blues and greens can leave you breathless. It has been named one of the finest beaches in the world by luxury travel magazine, Conde Nast Traveller, and featured in “Knight and Day”, a movie starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz.
Drinks and lunch are served on the beach from 11 am - 5 pm. Available are lounge chairs and dining table and chairs for a small rental fee. There is an entrance fee to the beach if you are not staying at Frenchman’s Cove Resort. Changing rooms are available for your convenience.
The resort itself consists of the Great House and Villas. The villas are scattered throughout the acreage, enough so when you are at your villa, your neighboring villa is out of sight. Now you feel you have this part of paradise all to yourself. Each villa houses up to six people, comprised of a sitting area, dining area and a kitchenette, perfect for preparing light meals or snacks. You can choose a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom villa, each bedroom with its own bathroom. The villas feature an open floor plan, some have an upper level. There is one villa upgraded with a full kitchen, which includes a butler to cook your meals.
The Great House contains 10 rooms, spacious and air-conditioned, with 2 of the suites containing sitting rooms as well. Each boast private balconies overlooking lush gardens. At the ground level, you have the check-in lobby, a bar, lounge, TV area and large open-air dining room. From the Great House, the beach is a short, windy, jungle-like walk; like they say, getting there is half the fun!
Frenchman’s is an excellent choice for large gatherings, seminars, meetings and weddings. The lower level of the Great House has space to accommodate. Weddings are spectacular at Frenchman’s Cove. Management is there for you to ensure your day is perfect.
